Integrate Azhagi's multilingual multifont multikeyboard typing - into your own apps
Provide all of Azhagi's multilingual typing facility - transliteration, phonetic, typewriter, etc. - in your own apps (commercial or free)
Method 1
Very simple. You can request your users to visit azhagi.com, download and install Portable Azhagi+ and/or Azhagi++ along with your app. This will help them to easily type in multiple languages in your app as well as in any other app, which would be of immense help to the society. If you do not want to adopt this method, then go by Method 2 below.
Method 2
This method is also simple.
Decide whether you want to provide the typing facility of Azhagi+ or Azhagi++ or both.
If your app is a portable app, kindly instruct your users to install your app in a non-system folder (e.g. C:\MyFavPortableApps, D:\MyApps, etc.). In other words, they should not install your app in system folders (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86), C:\Program Files (x86), etc.)
If your app has an installer, ensure that your installer installs your app in a non-system folder (e.g. C:\MyFavPortableApps, D:\MyApps, etc.). In other words, your installer should not install your app in system folders (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86), C:\Program Files (x86), etc.)
Whenever your app starts, start Azhagi+ also (programmatically) along with your app thus enabling multilingual typing for your users via Azhagi+ and/or Azhagi++'s hotkeys. As simple as that. Please note that Azhagi+ or Azhagi++ can be started silently too without their starting screen appearing on their startup.
If you feel your users would need it, then give the facility to them to change the hotkeys through an interface in your app itself. You just need to code in your app in such a way that it alters the hotkey settings in az-settings.ini (Azhagi+) or Settings.txt (Azhagi++). This way, the hotkeys settings of Azhagi+ and/or Azhagi++ will persist across your app's sessions.
If you wish to customise Azhagi+ and/or Azhagi++ before you pack them into your app, you may do so. Please read this page and this answer respectively, for details on how you can do the same.
Clearly inform your users in your app's installation instructions and your app's opening screen that Azhagi+ and/or Azhagi++ (from azhagi.com) has been bundled along with your app to enable easy typing in Tamil and other Indian/world languages.
In the above point, I have just written in a brief manner as to what I humbly expect you to do. But, from your end, I request you to prepare a very detailed and clear-cut documentation (either in your mother tongue or English, whichever is convenient for you) on what your apps's name is, whether its a commercial app or free app, how you have bundled Azhagi+ and/or Azhagi++ along with it, how you have informed your users about Azhagi+ and/or Azhagi++ being a part of your app, etc. etc. and share the same in your app's website (if you have one) or share the document with me via email. My email contacts are here.
All of Azhagi's free apps (around 15 of them) are available for download at all-free-apps.php. This is just for your info so that if any application other than Azhagi+ or Azhagi++ needs to be incorporated in any of your apps, you can email me your requirement for the same so that I can take time to see whether similar methods as above can be suggested by me for those applications too. Thanks.
