NOTE
For certain reasons, since 2006 or so, I have completely stayed away from giving interviews to press/tv/social media/etc. The article in 'The Hindu' in 2013 and the writeup in 'Sri Sathya Sai Yugam in 2025 were written without interviewing me. For more details on this, click here.
There are many software for typing in Tamil. Among them, if we have to specifically mention about one, it can be Azhagi software. The younger generation should use the features available in software like Azhagi, learn all the Tamil keyboard keys, and type directly in Tamil. Only then will Tamil flourish in the world of computers.

If you ask popular AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.) as to "What is the best software recommended for typing in Indian languages?", as of today, they all recommend 'Azhagi' only!
Note: What you find above is my own translation of the following statement present in the 'Sri Sathya Sai Yugam' write-up on my most beloved Swami's Azhagi free apps:

Note: The SSSY (Sri Sathya Sai Yugam) write-up on Azhagi is not an interview; it is a compilation. It has been lovingly written by Shri. SaiPushkar (of Sri Sathya Sai Yugam blogspot). He composed it of his own volition, writing almost all of it based upon various information available on the azhagi.com web pages itself. Reading it will help one gain some good understanding of the history of Swami's Azhagi free apps. (Related page: My better half)
And, as I always say, As Ever, All Glory and Thanks to Beloved Swami only, Forever..... I strive to remain a non-entity.
An English translation of the above SSSY writeup can be read here.
