A few menu times explained
· Close
Just the same as ‘New’ menu item. But still, this ‘Close’ menu item has been provided
for the sake of users who are used to ‘Close’ menu item of MS-Word.
· Save
· The file is always saved in rich text file (.rtf) format which is readable not only by
MS-Word but by many similar editors worldwide, across platforms. Note that when
you opt for 'non-transparent transliteration'(NTT), only one file will be created.
When you do 'transparent transliteration'(TT), three files will be created.
· For e.g. If you give file name as 'test1' while saving, 'test1.rtf' will be the only file
created during NTT. But, 'test1.rtf', test1`e`.rtf and test1`eb`.rtf - 3 files will be
created during TT. Note that test1.rtf is your main Tamil file. test1`e`.rtf is the file
holding your English text. test1`eb`.rtf is a support file. Don't delete the last two
files (`e` and `eb` suffixed) mistakenly.
· Note: I suggest the user to have a separate directory to hold the files generated with
Azhagi and avoid saving them along with his/her other files. However, this is only a
suggestion and as such, the user can save the Azhagi files in any directory of his/her
choice.
