In this world, there is no penance higher than fortitude, no happiness greater than contentment, no good deed holier than mercy, and no weapon more effective than patience. Devotees should consider the body as a field, good deeds as seeds and cultivate the name of the Lord, with the help of the heart as the farmer, to get the harvest of the Lord Himself! How can one get crops without cultivation? Like cream in milk and fire in fuel, the Lord is in everything. Have full faith in this. As the milk, so the cream; as the fuel, so the fire; so also, as the spiritual discipline, so the direct experience of the Lord! Even if the attainment of liberation isn’t directly realised as a consequence of taking up the Lord’s name, four fruits are clearly evident to those who have had the experience: (1) Company of great (2) Truth (3) Contentment and (4) Control of senses. Through whichever of these gates one enters, whether one is a householder, recluse, or member of any class, one can reach the Lord without fail! (Prema Vahini, Ch 60)

இவ்வுலகில் மன உறுதியை விட மேலான தவமும் இல்லை, மனநிறைவை விட மேலான மகிழ்ச்சியும் இல்லை, கருணையை விட புனிதமான நற்செயலும் இல்லை, தவிர பொறுமையை விட சிறந்த ஆயுதமும் இல்லை. பக்தர்கள், உடலை நிலமாகக் கருதி, இதயமெனும் உழவனின் துணைகொண்டு நற்செயல்கள் எனும் விதைகள் இட்டு, இறைவனின் திருநாமத்தை வளர்த்து, இறைவனையே அறுவடையாகப் பெற வேண்டும்! பயிரிடாமல் ஒருவர் எவ்வாறு விளைச்சலைப் பெற முடியும்? பாலில் வெண்ணெய் போல, விறகில் நெருப்பைப் போல இறைவன் எல்லாவற்றிலும் இருக்கின்றான். இதில் முழு நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருங்கள். பால் எப்படியோ, வெண்ணெய் அப்படியே; விறகு எப்படியோ, நெருப்பு அப்படியே. அதே போல, ஆன்மிக சாதனை எப்படியோ, கிடைக்கும் நேரடியான இறைஅனுபவமும் அப்படியே! இறைவனின் திருநாமத்தை உச்சரிப்பதின் விளைவாக முக்தி நிலையை நேரடியாக அடையாவிட்டாலும், அத்தகைய இறை அனுபவம் பெற்றவர்களுக்கு (1) ஆன்றோரின் நட்பு (2) சத்தியம் (3) மனநிறைவு (4) புலனடக்கம் ஆகிய நான்கு பலன்கள் தெளிவாகக் கிடைப்பது உறுதி. இவற்றில் எந்த வாசலின் வழியாக ஒருவர் நுழைந்தாலும், அவர் க்ருஹஸ்தனோ, சந்நியாசியோ அல்லது எந்தப் பிரிவைச் சார்ந்தவராக இருந்தாலும், அவர் தவறாமல் இறைவனை அடையலாம்!
