Devotion and faith must be cultivated by every student. Be as devoted and disciplined as Arjuna. Be as intelligent and strong as Bheema. Be steadfast and sincere like Dharmaraja. Then, no harm can come to you; you will achieve victory in all your efforts. There are four F's that you will have to fix before your attention: (1) Follow the Master (2) Face the Devil (3) Fight to the End and (4) Finish at the Goal. ‘Follow the Master’ means, observe Dharma. ‘Face the Devil’ means, overcome the temptations that beset you when you try to earn artha (wealth or the wherewithal to live in comfort). ‘Fight to the End’ means, struggle ceaselessly; wage war against the six enemies that are led by kama (lust). And finally, ‘Finish at the Goal' means, do not stop until the goal of Moksha (liberation from ignorance and delusion) Is reached. The F's are fundamental for the pursuits of the four Purusharthas - Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha.(Divine Discourse, Jul 06, 1975.)

ஒவ்வொரு மாணவனும் பக்தியையும், நம்பிக்கையையும் வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். அர்ஜுனனைப் போல பக்தியும், ஒழுக்கமும் உள்ளவராக இருங்கள். பீமனைப் போல புத்திசாலியாகவும், பலசாலியாகவும் இருங்கள். தர்மராஜரைப் போல உறுதியானவராகவும், நேர்மையானவராகவும் இருங்கள்.

பின்னர் எந்தத் தீங்கும் உங்களுக்கு வராது; உங்களுடைய அனைத்து முயற்சிகளிலும் நீங்கள் வெற்றி காண்பீர்கள். நீங்கள் நான்கு "F"களை கவனத்தில் கொள்ள வேண்டும்: 1) Follow the Master (2) Face the Devil (3) Fight to the End and (4) Finish at the Goal என்பவையே இவை. "Follow the Master" என்றால், தர்மத்தைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பது என்று பொருள். “Face the Devil” என்றால், நீங்கள் பொருள் (சொத்து அல்லது சௌகரியமான வாழ்க்கைக்கான வசதிகள்) ஈட்டும்போது ஏற்படுகின்ற சஞ்சலங்களை வெற்றி கொள்ளுங்கள் எனப் பொருள். “Fight to the End” என்றால், இடையறாது போராடுதல்; காமத்தினால் வழிநடத்தப்படும் ஆறு விரோதிகளுக்கு எதிராகப் போராடுவது என்று பொருள். இறுதியாக "Finish at the Goal" என்றால், மோக்ஷம் (அறியாமை மற்றும் மாயையிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெறுதல்) எனும் குறிக்கோளை அடையும் வரை ஓயாதீர்கள் என்று பொருள். நான்கு புருஷார்த்தங்களான தர்மம், அர்த்தம், காமம் மற்றும் மோக்ஷம் ஆகியவற்றைப் பெறுவதற்கான முயற்சிகளுக்கு இந்த நான்கு "F"களும் அடிப்படையானவை.
