The first 7 items ('New' to 'Undo') have already been explained under File and Edit
Change Color (Icon)
Color dialog box opens for you to choose your color. You can change the size of this dialog box
by clicking or unclicking ‘Show Basic colors only’ under ‘Colors’ menu.
List of fonts
Azhagi core fonts are 'Tscii encoded'. Azhagi font names start with 'Sai'. There are other Tscii
fonts (free or commercial) whose names start with 'TSC'. Along with Azhagi fonts, all the Tscii
fonts installed in your system whose names start with TSC are also shown in the list of fonts.
List of font sizes
You can choose the size for your text here. Note that when you are doing TT, to maintain
proportionality between the sizes of ETA and TTA, the font size of TTA is set according to the
following rule :
For font sizes ranging from 8 to 11 in ETA, the font size set in TTA is 9 to 12 resp.
For the font size of 12 in ETA, the font size set in TTA is 13 and for 15, it is 16.
For all other font sizes, the same size is maintained both in ETA and TTA.
B, I, U, L, C, R (Shortcuts – Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I, Ctrl+U, Ctrl+L, Ctrl+E, Ctrl+R)
The functions of B, I, U etc. are exactly same as in other editors. In fact, doubly same during
TT, since the formatting is reflected in both ETA and TTA.
Change Color (Icon)
Color dialog box opens for you to choose your color. You can change the size of this dialog box
by clicking or unclicking ‘Show Basic colors only’ under ‘Colors’ menu.
Text selector for TTA
If you click on 'Tamil', the transliteration will appear in Tamil text in TTA. If you set to
'English', English text typed will appear just as it is, in English itself, in TTA. This option is
provided for you to generate mixed text (i.e. both Tamil and English text). Normally, to effect
this, you need not use this toolbar item. Just press F10 or 'Alt-c'. Note that the font of TTA
will remain as ‘SaiIndira’ (or whatever font set) only always, whether you choose ‘Tamil’ or
‘English’ here. SaiIndira is a bilingual (both Tamil and English encompassing) font.
Instant Mail
This is same as clicking ‘Mail -> Compose’.
